Well, the party season is fast approaching and if your home is ‘where it’s at’ then you need to start preparing. This year, why not make an investment that’ll last you for years to come and really give it a bar feel by getting a home Liquor Carousel.
Home liquor carousels are available to hold any number of bottles, but about six is average and you can use them with whatever size optic (shot measure) you choose. Simply replace the bottle lid with an optic and fit into your bracket (a rubber or cork bung on the optic ensures a snug fit). Bottles are held in place, upside down, by a bracket which is spring loaded to ensure secure tension and accommodate various bottle sizes. This is the exact same method used in bars but if you want to be doubly sure of their stability why not get some festive elastic ribbon and make bands for them (really, don’t worry, I’ve worked in bars for over 15years and bracket failure is a very rare occurrence!)
Liquor Carousels are great for home bars and parties because they really add a WOW! factor without taking up much space and hold a good selection of spirits. As they rotate, everything is equally close at hand and easy to get to. I’d recommend they hold Vodka, Whiskey, White & Dark Rum, Gin and a personal favorite as this will give you a good base selection for a variety of drinks and cocktails.
They really are a fab addition to a home bar and will justify themselves in the amount of liquor you actually save! Sounds silly but most people have no idea how much a shot of liquor is when they are free pouring it and hence over pour their drinks as it doesn’t look a lot in a glass. This not only means that bottles run out quicker but people end up getting drunk faster than they intended and also means that drinks can actually taste quite vile as the balance is out.
So, if you really want to make your party one to remember, get yourself a Liquor Carousel.
